Dear partners and sponsors,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee and the Spanish branch of WPSA, I have the pleasure to invite you to participate in the XVIth European Poultry Conference (EPC) to be held at the Palacio de Congresos in Valencia (Spain) from 24 to 28 June 2024, where more than 1400 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend.

We are convinced that being a sponsor and partner of this congress will allow you to have contact with the international poultry sector, as well as to obtain new information in all branches of science, practical application of new techniques and processes, which will translate into a direct impact of conferences and debates with leading scientists in many areas of poultry activity. It will also allow you to showcase your products and business innovations with the attendees and specialists we expect to have.

Spain is one of the largest producers of poultry meat and eggs in the EU; there were 21,683 poultry farms in 2021, according to data from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture. In the same year 2021, the Spanish poultry industry produced 1.63 million tonnes of poultry meat (3rd largest producer in the EU), and 13.6 billion eggs (3rd largest producer in the EU).

In 2021, the combined value of poultry meat and egg production exceeded €3.6 billion, accounting for 17.15% of the country’s final livestock production (12.2% corresponds to the poultry meat sector and 4.95% to the egg production sector).

Poultry production is characterized by a high degree of supply chain integration. Year after year there is a greater concentration of operators, generating benefits for the entire national poultry sector. There are also small farms supplying a local and proximity market, which allows for a very varied offer for consumers. The majority of the poultry sector is self-sufficient and there is a growing export vocation.

We would like to thank in advance all the companies and institutions that participate, collaborate and contribute to make this scientific event a great success.

Join us at the XVIth EPC!

We look forward to seeing you in Valencia.
