The places in the city that are not to be missed

THE CATHEDRAL

In the Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic styles, the Cathedral of Valencia is an impressive architectural gem which overlooks Plaza de la Virgen and Plaza de la Reina. The Holy Chalice used by Jesus during the Last Supper can be found inside.

The Tribunal de las Aguas (Water Tribunal), which was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2009, is held at the Cathedral’s Gothic gate every Thursday at noon. The best views of the city can be enjoyed from the top of the Miguelete, the Cathedral’s bell tower which can be reached after climbing its 207 steps. It’s well worth the effort!
